Self-Install experience.

As part of Verizon’s broader 5G rollout, I envisioned and directed the UX for the self-installation journey—from awareness and eligibility to ordering and setup. I collaborated closely with internal Verizon teams, Open Innovation groups, and the C-suite.

The app introduced a streamlined ordering flow, broad payment options, and intuitive eligibility checks. A standout innovation was the VR-powered tool that helped users position their 5G antenna optimally—a technically ambitious yet highly rewarding feature. The experience was piloted in select states before scaling nationwide and became the blueprint for all future Verizon self-install products.

While specific performance data for Verizon’s 5G Home is proprietary, the U.S. market shows that about 47% of households now subscribe to fixed wireless 5G home internet, reflecting strong consumer adoption and readiness
